Rod Abbott

Rod Abbott is an intermediate Mechanical Technologist with 8 years of engineering experience.  Rod has been with Wardrop Engineering for five years and is the Mechanical CAD Lead for the Thunder Bay office.  Since joining Wardrop, he has played a key role in implementing various 3D tools, including CADWorx and ISOGEN.

Steven Ashcroft

Steven Ashcroft

Steven is a CADWorx Technical Sales representative with Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc. He joined COADE in August of 2006 and is responsible for increasing CADWorx Sales in the US and abroad. Steven has studied both AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant Professional. He completed training courses in both programs at the Horn Drafting & CAD Center.

Matt Breeden

Matt Breeden

Matt Breeden graduated from Fort Hays State in 2004 with some training in AutoCAD, and began his career working at a small engineering firm in Wichita, KS in the Petro-Chemical Dept. Matt's CADWorx training has been informal and self-taught. Matt now works for ICM near Wichita as a piping designer and is involved with customization and training of CADWorx for his company.

John Brinlee

John Brinlee

John Brinlee is Sales Manager, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc. A piping and structural designer using third-party applications since AutoCAD Release 10, his real-world experience in plant design is apparent during the hundreds of technical product presentations and training sessions he's performed around the world over the past 18 years. John has collaborated on numerous training manuals over the years, including the Pro-Series, AutoPLANT, and CADWorx. He was also the principal author of the Plant Design White Paper, a comparison of CADWorx 2002 and AutoPLANT 2.01, published in 2002.

Brian Cudd

Brian Cudd

Brian Cudd is Sales Engineer, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc which he joined in April of 2007. He is responsible for CADWorx FieldPipe worldwide sales. Brian graduated from San Jacinto College with an Engineering Graphics Design Degree and became a piping designer with 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in brown field work. The combination of his real world design experience and his in-depth knowledge of COADE's Suite of Plant Design Applications give him the proper background to administer technical presentation and training sessions dealing with full spectrum of Plant design.

Sonia Delgadillo

Sonia Delgadillo

Sonia Delgadillo is a Process & Power Specialist for ECAD, Inc. - Houston Office. Employed with ECAD since 2004, she has worked in technical support and consulting with many of ECAD's CADWorx customers. This experience has made her very knowledgeable about CADWorx implementation and best practices. She is the lead instructor for CADWorx training at ECAD's Houston office.

Joseph Dixon

Joseph Dixon

Joseph Dixon is Product Manager, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc which he joined in January 2007. He has been a piping designer and manager in the petrochemical industry since 1985. Joseph has worked with CADWorx as a designer and manager since 1998 and was instrumental in his company's roll out of 100+ seats of CADWorx Plant and CADWorx P&ID. His present responsibilities as Product Manager involve working with users, dealers, and the engineering group to enhance CADWorx to meet the market's needs.

Anthony Horn

Anthony Horn

Anthony Horn is the author of COADE's video training course titled Mastering CADWorx Plant Profesisonal Software. His private school, the Horn Drafting & CAD Center has trained over 3500 CAD operators and pipe drafters for Houston industries since 1968. He holds degrees in both engineering and architecture, and was a contributing author to The CAD/CAM Handbook (McGraw Hill, 1985) and Pipe Drafting and Design (Gulf Publishing, 1996).

David Little

David Little

David Little has been at COADE since 1996, and as COADE's Director of Technology Research and Development is responsible for determining COADE's long- and short-term technical needs and directions, as well as researching and identifying industry trends which will benefit COADE's future success. He is also responsible for overseeing product development lifecycles, and for maintaining COADE's lead in the software marketplace, and is the lead developer of the new CADWorx Design Review. Prior to COADE, David was President of Equinox Corporation, a provider of custom software. David holds a BS degree from Louisiana State University, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Scott Mayeux

Scott Mayeux

Scott Mayeux is a Mechanical Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Engineering and Software Development Field. His area of expertise is in integration of ASME and other Codes and Standards into the PV Elite software. Over the years Scott also garnered experience in Pipe Stress analysis as well as knowledge in other standards such as WRC, TEMA, API and many others. At COADE, Scott is the Director of Development for Pressure Vessel and Exchanger Solutions. For the last ten years he has also served as an ASME Code Committee member on the Sub Group Heat Transfer Equipment (SGHTE).

John McWilliams

John McWilliams

John McWilliams has been working in the plant design field for over sixteen years and has been using 3D software for over ten years. John has been employed by software companies as a specialty consultant and product trainer. He has used and administered AutoCad, Microstation, Autoplant, CADWorx, and PDMS, and has been involved in various project types including onshore refineries and chemical plants, offshore oil and gas platforms, and ethanol plants. John is currently a CADWorx Administrator and Laser Scan Administrator at Mustang Engineering.

Gary Mellinger

Gary Melliner has been training plant design professionals in the use of application software for over fifteen years. He spent five years on staff as a corporate trainer and manager of hands-on support for Applications Development (ADev) of New Orleans, Louisiana and Rebis Industrial Workgroup Software of Walnut Creek, California. In 1995, Gary launched Mellinger & Associates, an independent consulting firm providing software sales, training, integration, and customization services to a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, petrochemical, and building trades. Gary has over thirty years of experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, and piping design. He fully understands design processes and how software works with these processes.

Bruce Parsons

Bruce Parsons

Bruce Parsons is an expert in the fields of mechanical and structural drafting. Vice President of Information Systems and Drafting Services at Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE), Bruce guided GLE's drafting department from its infancy into one of the most advanced teams in Alberta. He built the department's capabilities by recruiting especially skilled and talented draftspeople and supplementing their backgrounds with on-going AutoCAD and design training. GLE's drafting team is recognized as a leading provider of high-quality, cost-effective drafting services. Bruce developed an extensive software library, which is routinely updated and customized by GLE's in-house programming team. In addition to his managerial duties, Bruce is responsible for the drafting department's quality control.

Anupam (Pat) Patel is Vice President of Software Development, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc. Pat has been involved with CADWorx since 1996 and has an extensive knowledge of the software's internal workings.

Kyle Pope

Kyle Pope

Kyle has worked for ECAD, Inc since 1999 doing sales, training, and tech support on the COADE product lines at their Tulsa, OK location. Kyle became involved in the Process and Power Industry in 1994 when he went to work for the Sinclair Oil Company in Tulsa, OK doing everything from recovery well monitoring to project management. From there, he moved on to Pro-Quip and ultimately ECAD, Inc. He's been involved in numerous client roll-outs and training sessions all over the US to help educate users and clients on the benefits of CADWorx.

William Rasco

William Rasco

William Rasco has been involved with AutoCAD since 1984, doing mechanical design in Midland, Texas. He started piping design in 1994 working at CEL in Dallas. In 1995, William moved over to the ECAD team as an Instructor/ applications support, and then moved back to Midland, Texas to start up and manage the ECAD Midland office in 1996. He has also been involved in co-writing numerous training material for Pro Pipe, Pro Flow, Rebis and COADE CADWorx products over the years, but has been working exclusively with COADE since 1999.

Robert Riley

Robert Riley

Robert Riley is a Technical Specialist for ECAD, Inc. in the Baton Rouge office. He has over a decade of experience in Petro-Chem plant design, working for and with consulting engineering firms and fabrication shops in the Gulf Coast area. Overlapping with production work during those years, he spent over a decade training fellow designers on various plant design packages. Since 2005, Robert has worked with ECAD's clients not only in a support role, but also as a consultant.

Josh Sampson

Josh Sampson

Josh Sampson has an associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting from Hutchinson Community College. Josh began his career at MKEC (Mid Kansas Engineering Consultants) in 2000 and started in the Petro-Chemical Department in 2002. He completed the Process Plant Layout & Piping Design course offered from the University of Houston's SPED program, and received training in CADWorx from Mellinger and Associates. Josh is now with ICM and is involved in the customization of CADWorx and Isogen for his company.

Lee Smith

Lee Smith

Lee Smith is a lead project designer for the John Zink Company. Lee's responsibilities include coordinating teams for designing skid mounted vapor recovery units for both domestic and foreign clients and assisting in project management roles. A graduate of Oklahoma State University Tech, Lee has 30 plus years experience in the gas processing and transmission, oil refining, and chemical plant industries. Lee has gone from the drafting board to 3D CAD design, and from field construction to the corporate office, working with many of the leading companies of the industry. Lee has been married for 32 years and has two daughters and nine grandchildren.

Tom Van Laan

Tom Van Laan

Thomas J. Van Laan, PE, is the president of COADE, Inc. With COADE since 1989, he has been extensively involved in the development of products such as CAESAR II, the world's leading pipe stress program, and CADWorx, COADE's suite of AutoCAD-based plant and piping design software. With 27 years of engineering and software experience, Mr. Van Laan is considered to be an expert in the fields of pipe stress analysis and design, having taught over 75 training courses worldwide and having co-authored the engineering text Piping and Pipe Support Systems: Design and Engineering. Mr. Van Laan holds degrees in civil engineering, computer science and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York Institute of Technology and Pace University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states.

Bill Vasey

Bill Vasey

Bill Vasey is President of ECE Design. He has a strong background in engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of process plants in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Alternative Fuels and Chemical industries. Bill has over 20 years of experience, which includes product development, skid and module design/build, plant engineering, validation and commissioning. Bill is also involved with the development and implementation of engineering analysis, CAD technology and database applications, through which plant engineering, validation construction, and Integrity Management performance is improved. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and is an active participant in both ASME BPE and ISPE. Venkat

Venkat is the sales manager of ImageGrafix Software FZCO, a COADE Global Network Partner for the Middle East. A CADWorx user, enthusiast and trainer since 2003, he has conducted many training programs on CADWorx and has successfully helped clients in the Middle East to embrace CADWorx as their mainstream plant design software. Trained as a mechanical engineer, Venkat has been an AutoCAD user since version 2.18.

Vornel Walker

Vornel Walker

Vornel Walker serves as COADE's Marketing Manager. Vornel joined COADE in 1997 with a total of eighteen years experience as a freelance piping designer of Oil, Gas, Chemical and Water systems using PDMS, PDS and AutoCAD. Also included are three years as a Site Engineer on offshore and onshore projects in Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom. He has spent the last thirteen years providing sales, marketing and business development support for intelligent plant design and engineering solutions for various plant focused software companies.

Mark White

Mark White

Mark White has been in the plant design field for over 30 years, and has been a 3D modeler for nearly 26 years using several CAD/CADD systems. He is currently a design coordinator and CADWorx administrator with piping being his forte. Mark has been involved in several oil and gas type projects ranging from onshore refineries and compressor stations to offshore drilling and production platforms.

David Wolfe is a Mechanical Engineer at Proformance Group Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina. He is responsible for training and implementation of new software. David has extensive experience in CADWorx P&ID, CADWorx IP, CADWorx Equipment, CADWorx Plant and Navisworks.
